We’re happy to announce the availability of three new open Postdoctoral Fellowship positions in our laboratory or collaborating laboratory (job advertisement will come soon for applying):
Postdoctoral Fellowship position in EP PerMed DYNAMITE consortium project
We are looking for motivated and talented postdoctoral candidates for a 3-year Postdoctoral Fellowship to delineate the cellular states and non-genetic mechanisms in high-grade serous ovarian cancer relapse and treatment resistance. By using single-cell multiomics methods and several orthogonal epigenetic methods coupled with next-generation sequencing and integrative computational analysis, this project aims to reveal the role of distinct cellular states and epigenetic plasticity during cancer relapse and treatment resistance.
The selected candidate will join the Sahu Lab laboratory at NCMM, in Oslo, Norway, and will be working in close collaboration with researchers in Biswa’s group and the partners of the DYNAMITE consortium in Finland and Denmark.
If you’re interested, see the job advertisement and submit your application in the jobbnorge portal
NORPOD postsdoctoral Fellowship position - joint position between NCMM and Dr. Rafa Najumudeen (FIMM)
We are looking for motivated and talented postdoctoral candidates for a 3-year NORPOD Postdoctoral Fellowship to delineate the cis-regulatory activity during colon cancer initiation, progression and therapy resistance. By using massively parallel reporter assays in colon cancer organoids and engineered mouse models combined with functional genomics approaches, this project aims to reveal the role of distinct transcription factors and their cis-regulatory activity during initiation and development of human cancer.
The selected candidate will join and primarily be hosted at the Sahu lab at NCMM, in Oslo, Norway and will be making several short-to-mid length research mobility trips to the Najumudeen lab at FIMM, in Helsinki, Finland, to familiarise and learn about organoids and mouse models.

NORPOD postsdoctoral Fellowship position - joint position with Dr. Esa Pitkänen (FIMM) and NCMM
We are looking for motivated and talented postdoctoral candidates for a 2-to-3-year NORPOD Postdoctoral Fellowship to delineate the mutational mechanisms and epigenome reprogramming of human cancers. By using long-read nanopore sequencing and several complementary orthogonal omics measurements combined with deep machine-learning approaches, this project aims to reveal novel mechanistic details about the role of epigenetic plasticity in development of human cancer.
The selected candidate will join and primarily be hosted in the Pitkänen lab at FIMM in Helsinki, Finland, but will also be making several short-to-mid length research mobility trips to the Sahu lab at NCMM, in Oslo, Norway, to familiarise and learn about the multi-omics technologies.
